Nice! I like the thick, heavy tone you've got here, which works well on both the leads and the killer meat & potato rhythms. I've really wanted to do this song, too, at some point - but the tuning always threw me off. Yeah, I'm not great with matching tunings on those older metal/rock albums where they just tuned to each other and went with it. I think the entire "Point of Entry" album by Judas Priest is just off slightly from standard, just enough to drive you insane, heh. So for 747 here, you went to Eb, then down another 1/4 step from there and that matched up?

@@thismortalcoil696the song is 3/4ths of a step down, so not quite D standard. Most people either try Eb or D but they will always sound a little sharp or flat respectfully. I tune to the album if I'm playing with the record. If I'm covering it with a band we use D standard. ~cheers
